About Us
A Brief History

Foundation Ministries was established in September 2000. Its purpose is to teach sound foundational doctrine that all might come to an understanding of God’s Word.

After five years and five months of spiritual preparation, the Lord led the ministry to enter its current sanctuary at 4336 Glenwood Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28208. With a few faithful believers coming into agreement, God began to move mightily, providing each and every need. Our initial meeting was January 21, 2006.

Our prayers are not that history reflects material gain, nor the accomplishments of men, but rather it reflects the New Testament Purpose of the Church.

Our history should simply reflect and glorify Christ, who is the Head of the Church and Lord over our lives.

What We Believe

We must read the Bible, because it is the Word of God and because it is the Word of God and because it causes our faith to increase, it convicts us of sin, and it gives us a standard by which we can guide our lives,

We must pray. Jesus commanded His disciples to ‘watch and pray’. The words “pray” and “prayer” are used at least twenty-five times in connection with the Lord in the brief record of His life in the four Gospels. Prayer took much of the time and strength of Jesus. One who does not spend much time in prayer is seldom used of God.

We must fellowship with other Christians. Fellowship means more than mere friendship. We need to share our Christian experiences with others who believe and likewise allow them to share with us. It is the will of Christ that His followers should assemble together.

We must witness for Christ, because Jesus commanded it (Matthew 28:18-20), and because others may be saved by it also (Romans 10:17), and because Jesus will be with us as we do it (Matthew 28:20).

We must obey God because we love Him (John 14:21), because we are not our own (I Corinthians 6:20), because His commandments are not burdensome (I John 5:3), and because obedience will catch up with us one day (Galatians 5:7,8).

Our love for God must be sincere; not only in word and tongue, but truly in our hearts. We are to love Him more than anything else (Matthew 23:37). Our love for Him enables us to love one another (I John 4:7).

Vision

The Vision of Foundation Ministries, which we doctrinally acknowledge Jesus Christ as head; is bundled under John 5:5-8 in the structure of a question: “Wilt thou be made whole” (physically, Mentally, and Spiritually)?

Its Vision is moved into action via its mission statement written by Christ Himself in Matthew 25:31-46.

Its Vision is in line with the purpose of the New Testament Church to “Win Souls for Christ” as the commissioned “Body of Christ” under Mark 16:15-16.

We have been called under the example of Christ in Mark 5:1-20, where He and His disciples went to the other side of the lake at Gadara to save that which appeared not worth saving. The Vision is to take a core of leaders whom the world considers castaways and not capable; and using them to do the work of the Lord.
